What a nice weekend we had this year. It was our first time hosting this event at Pilgrim Firs which is where we hold our large week long symposium. I arrived around 3pm on Thursday June 4th, we were supposed to hang for the first two hours as there was another group checking out at that time but luckily we were able to go ahead and start unloading. I setup my tarp and supplies and awaited my tent buddy who was bringing the tent. My room was downstairs and the rooms were much smaller than I had realized. My roommate per usual was Stevie. This time instead of making meals we had the camp to make those which is always nice. Day 1 of carving I got my large Anhydrite and Alabaster piece mounted and to my surprise and with the help of Carmen’s cool plunging? tool got it perfectly straight – Glad I brough my drill the piece is turning out really nice. I did work a little on this pretty piece of light free alabaster with some great lines of tan or brown in it. But here are some photos of the weekend. It was nice seeing everyone and ew had some new faces which is always nice. We open the circle and talked did a nice little introduction of the person next to us and then the last day we closed out the circle and headed home before 11. It was a very fast weekend but we had some peaceful rain and sun throughout it was great.
